Are you experiencing a setback or a setup to evolve? What may seem to be a setback often is just a slow down, a forced period of reflection providing clarity about what is important and a chance to define our priorities. Loss tends to unveil what we value. This can set us up by revealing the direction we wish to go, who we chose to join us and asking us evaluate the timeline in which we expected things to happen.

@pinpresence shared a nugget of wisdom about how if we throw out a bunch of seeds but fail to water them we’ll never sow the fruits. The seeds we choose to nurture matter, the people we bond with, the projects we bring to life, the legacy we leave behind and onward into the next life.
Upmost gratitude for @pinpresence for taking care of my team, it’s been a pleasure getting to know you better, seeing eye to eye and feeling the intention and love you’ve poured into @flykaravek 🌟

Finding motivation when progress is slow is the true test of how bad we want results. It feels childlike to struggle to walk, there’s something that feels so intrinsic yet so far fetched. Highlining for me is a practice of patience, concentration and devotion when each step is fought for, it can be heavenly rewarding and at times incredibly frustrating. It’s a gift to have the time to dedicate to the practice of play, learning to walk again in a different way, and recreating in such breath taking spaces. Taking time to honor my incremental highline and middle split balance progress, may the momentum be onward and upward 🫶

Aerials has been a gateway hobby that has revolutionized my life, connected me with some of my closest friends, and introduced me to the world of highlining. I don’t know what my life would look like if I hadn’t started aerials in high school @tahoeflowaf. I needed an athletic pursuit that wasn’t focused on competition, but rather expression, exploration, and community. Little me would never have imagined I would co-found a nonprofit @skyfloweraerials with @adventurous.aerialist that allows me to share the magic with others. I’ve been able to perform on stages, various cranes, firetrucks, and highlines internationally. Silks are really the thread that weaves my life together and I’m so excited to keep growing. This year has been such a breakthrough with walking on the highlines instead of just doing aerials below them. So much love to communities I’ve have a honor of being a part of, I hope I can give back twofold what I’ve been gifted.

Painting surrealism reminds me that we can warp our reality, we can create whatever we envision, and we can capture our lives in ways beyond words.
I recently had the honor of creating this psychedelic octopus for a collector who has supported me from the start. They bought my original octopus painting back in 2021 (final slide). It was such a lovely journey creating this piece and feeling into how much I’ve grown as a painter over the past 5 years.
Everyday I am moved by the support I have to paint, it has literally been life saving. Amidst being robbed recently, I have the upmost gratitude for the community for purchasing art to help me recover, I feel incredibly lucky and hope to be able to share my art for a lifetime.

There is a freedom in becoming, confusion in the choices, decision fatigue, an unraveling and weaving together all at once. It’s the not knowing that’s empowering and terrifying. I keep arriving at places that were once elusive and in ways I am and am not who I thought I’d be. It’s an illusion to have a put together life, I actually hope my ducks are never all in a row, because predictability aligns with complacency. Stepping into 26 curious, tenacious, knowing myself more and yet not knowing where I’m going, what a beautiful mystery.

Every performance leaves me reflecting on how to improve and honoring how I’ve grown and the courage to be seen in the process along the way. Thank you for witnessing me.
