They say we’re our harshest critic, but perhaps we need to be because only we truly know our limits and potential. I try to judge my own work as if it were someone else’s, with compassion, intention, and aim for solution, but picking apart our own work without an emotional attachment to it is hard!
I rarely share training videos because by the time I get done nitpicking it seems to fall short of perfect. It’s motivating to improve but sometimes you just gotta accept where you’re at and remember that you’re human and you’re trying to control so many moving parts at once.
I often feel pressure to play to the algorithm which values high quality shots and professional content but honestly those shots performing on stage wouldn’t be possible without the day to day commitment to training. Cheers to sharing more of work behind the scenes because most of the success is a result of it.
